Terms of Service

Last updated · July 25, 2026

These terms govern your use of the NetSecWall software and website. By downloading, installing, starting the trial, activating a license key, or buying a plan, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the software.

1. Who you are contracting with

The software is provided by NetSecWall (“we,” “us,” “our”), operator of netsecwall.com. “You” means the individual or organization using the software.

2. Payments are handled by our reseller

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com Market Ltd. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for orders paid by card, PayPal, or a digital wallet. Paddle sells the license to you, issues your invoice, and collects and remits any sales tax or VAT. It also handles billing inquiries and processes refunds and chargebacks in line with our policies.

Payments are taken by our payment provider. We never receive or store your card number, and any tax due in your location is shown before you pay.

Cryptocurrency orders work differently. Where we offer payment in cryptocurrency, the processor moves the money but is not a Merchant of Record. NetSecWall is the seller of record for those orders, and we invoice you directly. Any sales tax, VAT, or GST due in your country is handled by us rather than by Paddle. A crypto payment is also a single payment: it buys a fixed term and does not renew, so nothing will ever be charged to you again automatically. Which method you used is shown on your receipt and on your account page.

When you buy, Paddle's buyer terms and privacy notice apply to the transaction alongside these terms. We never receive or store your card number.

3. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use NetSecWall on the number of devices covered by your plan, for your own use (or your organization's internal use). That license is subject to these terms and to payment of the applicable fees. For the trial in section 5, it runs for the length of that trial on the device running it.

You may not

  • Resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or share your license key outside the seats it covers.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
  • Remove or alter any notices, or circumvent licensing, seat counting, or trial enforcement.
  • Use the software to break the law, or in breach of our Acceptable Use Policy.

We retain all intellectual property rights in the software. Nothing here transfers ownership to you. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own licenses.

4. License keys and devices

  • A key is issued to the email address given at purchase and activates on up to the number of devices your plan allows.
  • Activation sends a one-way device hash so seats can be counted — see the Privacy policy.
  • Keys found to be shared beyond their seat count, or used to tamper with licensing, may be blocked.
  • Lost your key? Request it again from your account page with the email you bought with.

5. Trial

Every install starts with a 7-day trial with every feature unlocked — no card, no account, nothing to cancel. The trial is tied to the device and cannot be reset by reinstalling, by re-registering, or by moving the app to a different folder.

When the trial ends, NetSecWall requires a paid license to keep working. There is no free tier: without an active license the app stops monitoring, alerting, and blocking. Nothing is deleted — your local database, rules, and settings stay on your PC, and activating a key later picks up where you left off.

6. Fees, renewal, and taxes

  • Prices are shown on the pricing page in the currency displayed at checkout, and are per device unless stated otherwise.
  • Every consumer plan is sold monthly or yearly — you pick at checkout. A yearly plan is charged once for the whole year; a monthly plan is charged every month.
  • The prices shown today are introductory: deliberately below what the plans are intended to cost, while the beta plans in section 7 mature. Introductory pricing can be withdrawn for new purchases at any time.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled. You receive a receipt for every charge.
  • You can cancel at any time from the link in any Paddle receipt, or by asking us — contact billing. Access runs to the end of the paid period.
  • Sales tax, VAT, or GST is calculated and charged by Paddle where required by your location, and shown before you pay.
  • Any sales tax, VAT, or GST due in your location is shown before you pay.
  • We may change prices for future billing periods. Existing subscribers are notified before a change takes effect.

Refunds are covered by our Refund policy. Delivery is covered by our Delivery policy.

Enterprise (beta) is sold through our sales team, not self-service. Its pricing, seat count, billing method, and cancellation terms are set in the quote or agreement we sign with you. Those terms take precedence over this section and over the Refund policy for that order.

7. Beta plans, introductory pricing, and defects

The Family, Pro, and Enterprise plans are sold as beta. Beta means the features in them are finished enough to sell, and they are supported. They are also newer, change more often, and are likelier to contain defects than the rest of the product. We mark those plans as beta everywhere we name them, so you know what you are buying before you pay.

Introductory pricing is the trade: you accept beta-quality software, and in exchange you pay less than the plan is intended to cost. Because that is the bargain, a bug, error, or defect in a beta plan is not on its own a ground for a refund — we fix it instead. Concretely:

  • Report it — open a support ticket. We reply within 1 business day and tell you whether we can reproduce it.
  • Confirmed defects are fixed and shipped through the in-app updater, normally within 30 days of us confirming them. Security defects are treated as urgent and go out sooner.
  • If a confirmed defect leaves the software unusable for the purpose described on this site and we have not fixed it within 60 days, you get your money back for the billing period you are in. We also cancel the subscription. That applies however long ago you bought.

What this section does not do. It does not touch the 14-day money-back guarantee in our Refund policy. Within 14 days of buying you can change your mind for any reason at all, including because you hit a bug, and we refund you without argument. It does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded (section 11). And it does not remove your statutory rights. In the EU and UK in particular, a consumer's rights over digital content that is faulty or not as described cannot be signed away by a contract term, and we are not pretending otherwise. Where the law gives you more than this section does, the law wins.

Enterprise orders are the exception noted in section 6: they are sold through our sales team, and the refund, support, and acceptance terms in your signed quote or agreement take precedence over this section.

8. Updates and support

We may release updates that fix, change, or remove features. Paid plans include updates published during the subscription period. Support is provided by email — open a support ticket (Monday–Friday, replies within 1 business day).

9. What the software does — and does not — promise

NetSecWall is a network monitoring and firewall tool for Windows. It requires administrator rights and, when enabled, changes Windows Firewall rules on your machine. Used carelessly, blocking rules can interrupt software you rely on; you are responsible for the rules you apply.

No security product can detect or prevent every threat. Threat intelligence feeds and detection rules are provided on a best-effort basis and may produce false positives or miss malicious activity. The software is not a substitute for keeping your systems patched, backed up, and sensibly configured.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the software and website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that operation will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or the cost of substitute products. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the software is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep all statutory rights that apply in your country; these terms do not limit them.

12. Termination

You may stop using the software at any time and uninstall it. We may suspend or terminate a license that breaches these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy. On termination the license ends and the software stops working until a valid key is activated — there is no tier it falls back to. Sections 3, 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive.

13. Changes, law, and disputes

We may update these terms; the “last updated” date at the top changes and material changes are announced on this site. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which we are established, without affecting the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence. Disputes relating to a purchase may also be raised with the Merchant of Record for that order, where one applies.

If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
